By way of this petition, the petitioner has sought the following relief(s):- “10.1 The Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to quash the dismissal order issued by respondent no. 3 dated 19.07.2022 (Annexure P/1) and further be pleased to direct the SECL authorities to reinstate the petitioner with arrears SIDDHANT TAMRAKAR Digitally signed by SIDDHANT TAMRAKAR Date: 2026.07.23 16:22:11 +0530 2 of salary, pay increase, increments and all consequential benefits, in the ends of justice. 10.2 Any other relief which this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper be awarded in favor of the petitioner including cost of this writ petition.” 2. Subject matter of present writ petition is claim of grant of compassionate appointment on the strength of adoption-deed. It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that mother of the petitioner was adopted by Late Puran Singh on the strength of revenue documents. 3. On the other hand, learned counsel for respondents would oppose. 4. It is well settled principle of law that a valid adoption can be proved according to the provisions of Section 6 & 8 of Hindu Adoptions and Maintenance Act, 1956. A direction was issued to the Superintendent of Police to conduct an enquiry with regard to adoption of mother of petitioner and report does not favour petitioner. 5. At this stage, Ms. Seema Singh seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this petition with liberty to approach competent Civil Court seeking appropriate relief. 6. No objection from the other side. 7. Permission granted. 8. Accordingly, this petition is dismissed as withdrawn with the aforesaid liberty.
