This Court, vide order dated 12.01.2026 passed in MCRC No. 295 of 2026, while rejecting the bail of the petitioner, namely, Harjeet Singh had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of passing of that order, if there was no legal impediment. 3. The learned Special Judge, (NDPS Act), Raigarh District- Raigarh (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 09.07.2026 has requested for grant of KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN 2 three month’s additional time for concluding the trial. 4. It transpires from perusal of the P.U.D. that the case is presently at the stage of prosecution evidence. Out of total 30 prosecution witnesses, the examination of 16 witnesses have been completed so far. Despite issuance of summons/warrants on several occasions, the prosecution witnesses failed to appear before the Court concerned, due to which the case could not be disposed of within the stipulated time. Directions have now been issued to ensure service of summons/warrants upon the remaining prosecution witnesses on a priority basis. There is every likelihood that the case shall be disposed of within the next three months. Therefore, as an additional period of three months is required for disposal of the case. Accordingly, he has sought extension of time and has prayed for grant of a further period of three months for concluding the trial and final disposal of the case. 5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of three months from today. 6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 7.
