Page 1 of 2. IN THE HIGH COURT OF ORISSA AT CUTTACK WP(C) No.749 of 2026 Amaresh Kumar Samanta ..... Petitioner Represented by Adv. - Amiya Kumar Mohanty -versus- State Of Odisha ..... Opposite Parties Represented by Adv. – Mr. S.K. Parhi, ASC CORAM: MR. JUSTICE ADITYA KUMAR MOHAPATRA ORDER 19.01.2026 Order No. 02. 1. This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual /Physical Mode). 2. On perusal of the record, it appears that vide order dated 12.01.2026, this Court had categorically directed the registry to verify the correctness of the nomenclature of this case and in the event it is found that the same is wrong, further direction was given to take necessary consequential steps to change the nomenclature and reregistered the writ petition. On the basis of the aforesaid order again a Stamp Reporting was done. In view of the noting of the Stamp Reporter dated 15.01.2026, it is observed that the Stamp Reporter has pointed out that the matter should have been registered as CMP instead of W.P.(C). Therefore, the steps should have been taken by the registry for re-registration of the case as CMP without waiting for any application as the order dated 12.01.2026 is very clear in that regard. Page 2 of 2. 3. In view of the aforesaid position, registry is directed to reregister the application as CMP and place the matter before the appropriate assigned Bench by day after tomorrow (21.01.2026). ( A.K.
