Abumusa …for opposite party no.2 Mr. Imran Siddiqui, Mr. Soumya Raha, Mr. Sanjib Das …for the State Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners on instruction submits that prosecution witness no.1 has already been examined, and, therefore, he prays before this Court for a direction upon the Court below for expeditious disposal of the Criminal Case being A.C.G.R. Case No.7694 of 2013 presently pending before learned Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Alipore. Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that if any direction is passed for expeditious disposal of the said proceeding, the State has got no objection. Having considered submissions made on behalf of the petitioners and the State and that the prayer made by the petitioners is innocuous, I find that if it is required to be allowed in 2 terms of the submissions made on behalf of learned Counsel for the petitioners. In view of above, CRR 3663 of 2025 is hereby disposed of with a direction upon the Court below to make every endeavour for expeditious disposal of the aforesaid criminal proceeding and to make his best effort to conclude the trial preferably within a period of 6 months from the next date of hearing.
