The facts leading to filing of the present Writ Petition are as follows: The Petitioners had applied for Ph.D course in pursuance of the Notification issued by the Respondent No. 2, and thereafter they joined the said course on different dates during the years 2008 to 2010. It is stated that pursuant to a news article regarding the Dravidian University Ph.D. program on 10.11.2010, the Government constituted a Two Man Committee under Section 7 of the University Act, and on the basis of the report of the Committee, the government issued 3 Proceedings on 03.03.2011 vide Letter No. 5611/UE- 1/A2/2010/5, dated 03.03.2011, to cancel the Ph.D. admissions, which were already made not in accordance with the UGC Regulations, 2009. 3. Questioning the same, the petitioners filed the present writ petition. 4. Heard the respective counsel. 5. In the Writ Affidavit filed by the Petitioners, the Petitioners relied upon an interim order of this Court in W.P.No.6589 of 2011, filed by some other students, who were also affected by the said proceedings. This Court, while disposing of the said Writ Petition on 12.04.2024, relied upon a decision passed in W.P.No.23372 of 2021, dated 15.11.2023. W.P. No. 23372 of 2021 was disposed of on 15.11.2023 with the following directions: 4 “ In view of the above facts and circumstances of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondent No.2/University to complete the process as resolved by the Executive Council of the respondent No.2/University in respect of scholars admitted prior to 11.07.2009, also, within a period of three (03) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.” 6. As the issue involved in this Writ Petition is squarely covered by the Orders of this Court in W.P.No.23372 of 2021 and W.P.No.6589 of 2011, the present Writ Petition is disposed of in terms of the judgments in W.P.No.23372 of 2021 and 6589 of 2011. There shall be no order as to costs. The Registry is directed to append the copies of the Orders in W.P.No.23372 of 2021, dated 15.11.2023 and 6589 of 2011, dated 12.04.2024, to this Order.
