This writ petition alleges inaction on the part of the District Magistrate, North 24 Parganas in disposing of the petitioner’s application under Section 14 of the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 (hereafter “the 2002 Act”). 3. Mr. Ray, Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner’s application under Section 14 of the 2002 Act has been pending since June 28, 2025. 4. Learned advocate appearing for the State respondents submits that the petitioner’s application under Section 14 of the 2002 Act was heard by the District Magistrate on July 13, 2026 and the Bank has been asked to submits certain documents clarifying in the nature of the mortgage 2 property. Copy of the instructions given to learned advocate appearing for the State respondents that has been handed up to Court is taken on record. 5. Be that as it may, since the petitioner’s application has been pending since 2025 this writ petition is disposed of by directing the District Magistrate, North 24 Parganas to dispose of the petitioner application’s application under Section 14 of the 2002 Act in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of four weeks from date. 6. With the above observations, WPA 15456 of 2026 stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 7.
