Learned counsel for the applicant submits that, by order dated 24- 04-2025 passed in WPS No. 2832/2024 and the connected matter, this Court held that the Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Management is the appointing authority of the petitioner and, therefore, a charge-sheet could be issued only with the approval of the Board of Governors. On the basis of the said finding, the Coordinate Bench quashed the charge-sheet dated 18-04-2024. He further submits that, despite the aforesaid order, the respondent again placed the petitioner under suspension vide order (Annexure C-2) dated 28-04-2025 and issued a fresh charge-sheet on the same date. According to him, the said action amounts to willful disobedience of the order (Annexure C-1) dated 24-04-2025 passed by the Coordinate Bench. 3. Per contra, learned counsel for the respondent submits that the subsequent suspension order as well as the charge-sheet have already been quashed by the Coordinate Bench vide order (Annexure C-3) dated 09-05-2025 passed in WPS No. 3209/2025. He further submits that, as on date, neither the suspension order nor any charge-sheet against the petitioner survives. The aforesaid factual position has also been fairly conceded by learned counsel for the applicant. 3 4. Having considered the submissions advanced by learned counsel for the parties and taking into account the fact that the subsequent suspension order as well as the charge-sheet have already been quashed by the Coordinate Bench and no disciplinary proceedings are presently pending against the petitioner, nothing remains in the present contempt petition. 5.
