The petitioner is an accused in connection with Gumla P.S. Case No. 222 of 2025 corresponding to POCSO Case No. 45 of 2025. It has been alleged that when the victim was returning home, three persons on a scooter had forcibly taken her towards the Jungle and committed rape upon her. The victim has been examined in course of trial and she has stated that before T.I.P., she had seen the petitioner in the police station. She has further stated that none of the accused persons were involved in the alleged offence. Therefore, the statement of the victim dilutes the alleged case against the petitioner. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner is in custody since 19.07.2025. Learned A.P.P. for the State has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. Regard being had to the above, the petitioner above named is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Exclusive Special Judge, POCSO Court cum Additional Sessions Judge IV, Gumla in connection with Gumla P.S.
