Mr. Basak, learned Advocate appearing for the respondents, has taken instructions in this matter. 3. The candidature of the petitioner has been kept in abeyance as there was an apparent mismatch in the signature and hand-writing of the petitioner. 4. As it appears from the report that the dossier of the petitioner has been sent for verification to the National Crime Records Bureau (in short “NCRB”), Let NCRB be added as party respondent no. 7 to the instant proceeding. 5. Respondent no. 3 had already sent such particulars of the petitioner to the respondent no. 7 for clarity and for necessary finding sometime in April, 2026. The entire dossier of the petitioner is now lying with the respondent no. 7. 2 6. Respondent no. 7 is directed to immediately furnish a report in so far as the petitioner’s case is concerned with the respondent no. 3 by August 20, 2026. 7. Respondent no. 3 will take a decision in the matter on the basis of the report filed by the respondent no. 7. Such decision will be taken by August 31, 2026, and shall be communicated to the petitioner immediately, positively by September 15, 2026. 8. With the aforestated directions, the writ petition is disposed of. 9. There will be no order as to costs. 10.
