Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record. 2. The writ petitioner alleges inaction on the part of the District Magistrate, Krishnangar, Nadia in disposing of the petitioner’s application under Section 14 of the Securitization and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002. 3. The petitioner claims to be a secured creditor under the 2002 Act. It is alleged that an application under Section 14 of the said Act that had been filed on April 22, 2025 still remains pending before the said District Magistrate. 4. It is submitted by Ms. Alam, learned Advocate appearing for the State Respondents 2 that the petitioner’s application has been scheduled to be heard on July 22, 2026. 5. Since an application under Section 14 should receive immediate attention in terms of the 2002 Act, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the District Magistrate, Krishnanagar, Nadia to dispose of the petitioner’s application under Section 14 of the SARFAESI Act 2002 in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of four weeks from date. 6. WPA 14749 of 2026 stands disposed of with the above observations. There shall be no order as to costs. 7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities. (Om Narayan Rai, J.)
