Rakib (Rejected) CRM (NDPS) 1049 of 2026 In Re: An Application for Bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973/Under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 in connection with Chatterjeehat Police Station case no. 218 of 2025 dated 22.09.2025 under Sections 20(b)(ii)(c)/29 of the NDPS Act and under Section 14 of the Foreigners Act. And In the matter of : Juthika Paramanya @ Juthik Paramanya @ Rupa Paramanya ……Petitioner. Ms. Sabrina Parveen .....for the Petitioner. Mr. Rajendra Banerjee, Ld. APP Mr. Kalidas Saha ……for the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for nine months, charge-sheet has been submitted and charges have been framed. Petitioner has been implicated for alleged recovery of 36 kgs of ganja. Learned advocate further prays for bail on the ground of illness of her son. Learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail. Having considered the period of detention of the present petitioner and the quantity involved is commercial quantity, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner in CRM (NDPS) 1049 of 2026 is dismissed. 2 So far as the issue relating to the illness of the son of the petitioner is concerned, if proper documents are lead before the Superintendent of Howrah Correctional Home, the concerned Officer would, if required, grant parole to the present petitioner. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
