Das Mr. BIkash Kr. Singh … for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the present case relates to alleged recovery of 30 kg 900 gm of ganja. The petitioner is in custody for six months. Mr. Gouranga Kr. Das, learned advocate, appears for the State along with a junior of his choice as per the direction of this court. The appointment of both Mr. Das and the junior of his choice be regularized by the concerned authority. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and the recovery is of commercial quantity. However, in CRM (NDPS) 1206 of 2026 in respect of another accused, there was a direction to renew the prayer of bail after the evidence of the seizure list witnesses is over. 2 The petitioner would abide by the same direction. The learned trial court, if required, would prepone the evidence of the seizure list witnesses and complete the same within a period of three months from the date of communication of this order as was directed in CRM (NDPS) 1206 of 2026. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected. Accordingly, CRM (NDPS) 971 of 2026 is dismissed.
