The petitioner’s application seeking transfer made through Utsashree portal is pending consideration before the Head of the Institution. 2. Submission of the petitioner is that the school where the petitioner is teaching is a zero enrolment school with no students or teachers. The petitioner is the only teacher in the said school. The school is practically non-functional. The petitioner presses for transfer. 3. As it appears that the petitioner applied September 2022 and a considerable period of time has elapsed in the meantime, accordingly, the instant writ petition stands disposed of with the observation that it will be open for the petitioner to file fresh application offline seeking transfer in the prescribed format before the District Inspector of Schools (Secondary Education), South 24 Parganas disclosing the ground for the same. 2 4. The aforesaid respondent shall consider the prayer of the petitioner in accordance with the prevailing transfer rules. 5. If the prayer of the petitioner is allowed, then necessary consequential steps shall be taken by the authority at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of filing of the application. 6. The fate of the petitioner’s application shall be made known to the petitioner immediately thereafter. 7. Suspension of the Utsashree portal will not stand in the way of the authorities from taking steps in terms of the order passed hereinabove. 8. The writ petition stands disposed of. 9.
