HARI HARANADHA SARMA WRIT PETITION No.15316 of 2026 ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed seeking an order, direction, or Writ, particularly one in the nature of Mandamus, restraining the interference of respondent No.4 in respect of the civil dispute at the instance of respondent Nos.6 to 8 which is the subject matter of O.S.No.14 of 2026, wherein, respondent No.6 is also a party. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home takes notice on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 4. 3. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions, would submit that one Gorapalli Chinababu (respondent No.6) submitted a report dated 31.03.2026 alleging that he had been cheated by the writ petitioner, namely, Kovvuri Nagamani. It is further submitted that, for the purpose of conducting a preliminary enquiry into the said allegations, the petitioner was called for enquiry by the police and that police are not interfering with the civil disputes between the parties. Learned Assistant Government Pleader, referring to written instructions, further submitted that the petitioner did not cooperate for the preliminary enquiry and that police have no intention to threaten or interfere with the civil disputes between the parties. 4 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner, while referring to the complaint submitted by the writ petitioner to the police, contends that when the petitioner approached the police with her grievance, she was asked to approach the competent civil Court on the ground that the dispute was civil in nature. However, it is surprising that when respondent Nos.6 to 8 approached the police they interfered in relation to same dispute, despite the matter being pending before the competent civil Court. 5. In view of the written instructions placed on record and the submissions made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home that the respondent-police are not interfering in the civil disputes between the parties. Hence, the Writ Petition is disposed of recording the same. However, respondent-police are directed not to interfere in the civil disputes pending between the parties before the competent civil Court. It is made clear that this order shall not preclude the police from proceeding with any complaint or report directing a cognizable offence, and in such an event, the police shall act strictly in accordance with law. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. ____________________________ A.
