By the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks direction upon the respondent authorities to grant intra district transfer to a school nearby her place of residence. 2. The petitioner contends that she joined as an Assistant Teacher in Kamarsole Primary School under Barjora Circle, District-Bankura on 12th January, 2010. The petitioner’s service is confirmed with effect from 12th January, 2012. Subsequently, the petitioner was transferred to another school, namely, Sayer Bakra Primary School under Onda Circle, District- Bankura on 30th January, 2012. The petitioner’s residence is about 104 kms. away from her present place of posting. The petitioner is a surplus teacher. On 16th September, 2025, the petitioner made a 2 representation before the Chairman, District Primary School Council, Bankura seeking her transfer on distance ground, however, the same is still pending consideration. Hence, this writ petition. 3. Mr. Shuvro P. Lahiri, learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that the application of the petitioner has been forwarded by the Head Teacher of the school giving no objection. The DPSC, Bankura has not yet taken any decision with regard to the transfer of the petitioner. He seeks for appropriate orders. 4. Mr. Suman Dey, learned Advocate representing District Primary School Council, Bankura submits that the matter be relegated to the appropriate authority. 5. In view of such submissions advanced on behalf of the respective parties, respondent No.6, Chairman, District Primary School Council, Bankura is directed to consider the application of the petitioner seeking transfer dated 16th September, 2025 and dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order, in accordance with law, upon notice to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order. 6. The reasoned order shall be communicated to the petitioner within a week from the date of passing of such order. 7. Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to communicate this order to respondent No.6, 3 Chairman, District Primary School Council, Bankura, for necessary compliance. 8. With the above direction, the writ petition being WPA 25372 of 2025 stands disposed of. 9. Since no affidavits have been called for, the allegation made in the writ petition is deemed to be not admitted. 10. Interim order, if any, stands vacated. 11. All connected applications, if any, stand disposed of. 12. There shall be no order as to costs. 13. All concerned parties shall act in terms of the copy of the order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. 14.
