Petitioner Ajit Singh has filed contempt petition under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 for initiating contempt proceedings against the respondent for willful, deliberate, and intentional disobedience of the judgment/order dated 11.12.2025 (Annexure P-1) passed in Civil Writ Petition No.37019-2025 despite passing the speaking order dated 25/27.03.2026 (Annexure P-2). 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner pointed out that in compliance with the aforesaid judgment/order dated 11.12.2025, the Competent Authority passed the speaking order dated 25/27.03.2026 (Annexure P-2) but till date complete amount has not been paid and regarding this legal notice dated 27.04.2026 (Annexure P-3) has been issued. Respondent has failed to comply the directions passed by this Court, thus disobeyed the order dated 11.12.2025 (Annexure P-1). Learned counsel representing State of Punjab referred to the order dated 11.12.2025 (Annexure P-1) vide which respondent No.2 in that case was directed to consider the representation in accordance with law within a period of 6 weeks from the receipt of certified copy of the order. In pursuance of these directions, the Competent Authority has already passed the order dated 25.03.2026 (Annexure P-2). Therefore, there is due compliance of the directions of this Court. 4. I have considered the aforesaid factual position. It is evident that, in compliance with the directions issued by this Court in Civil Writ Petition No. 37019 of 2025, the competent authority has already passed the order dated 25.03.2026 (Annexure P-2). The execution of order dated 25.03.2026 (Annexure P-2) does not fall within the purview of present contempt proceedings. Therefore, no further action is required and the contempt petition is, accordingly, disposed of. 5. Pending miscellaneous application (s), if any, stand disposed of accordingly as well.
