The petitioner was a successful candidate, who participated in the selection process for appointment as a Constable under the Central Armed Forces. Though the petitioner had qualified in the written examination and the physical standard test, he was declared unfit on Detailed Medical Examination. He was also found unfit upon Review Medical Examination, challenging which he had approached this Hon’ble Court. This Hon’ble Court by its order dated February 11, 2026 directed the competent Medical Expert of the relevant domain of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Kalyani to medically examine the petitioner and submit a report. Such report has been filed today, though it is dated March 14, 2026. Such report is kept on record. 2. In view of the report filed by the said Medical Institution, the RME Board is directed to consider the petitioner’s candidature and his medical health afresh on the basis of the report as furnished, a copy 2 whereof will be served by the learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner to the respondent no. 3 by July 31, 2026. 3. Since the Board is now defunct, as the examination process has been completed, I direct the respondent no. 3 to constitute a Medical Board to comply with the directions contained in this order within a period of two weeks from the date of service of this order. The entire process should be completed by the reconstituted Medical Board by August 31, 2026. 4. With the afore-stated directions, the writ petition is disposed of. 5.
