JUSTICE P SREE SUDHA ORAL ORDER This transfer petition is filed by the petitioner-wife for transfer of M.C.No.5975/2024 filed by the husband for divorce before the II Additional Principal Judge, Family Court Bengaluru South, Bengaluru. She is residing with the parents and minor child aged 13 years at Madikeri. As such, she sought transfer of the petition to Principal Judge Family Court Madikeri. 2. It is stated that her marriage with the respondent was performed before 14 years back. It is stated that both of them are lived together for 14 years. Respondent shifted to Mysuru as he lost his job in Bengaluru during COVID Pandemic and later he sent notice - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:34883 CP No. 227 of 2025 for divorce. Since she is not working and earning she is depending on the parents, she cannot travel alone or with the minor child. The distance between both the places is 252 kms. Therefore, she has sought for transfer. 3. Considering the arguments of the petitioner counsel and in absence of the arguments of the respondent this Court finds it just and reasonable to transfer M.C.No.5975/2024 from II Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Bengaluru to Principal Judge, Family Court, Madikeri, Kodagu. 4. Accordingly, the Civil Petition is allowed. 5. In view of the disposal of the petition, pending I.A.s, if any, do not survive for consideration and accordingly disposed of.
