By way of the present petition, the petitioner has sought the following reliefs: “(a) It is therefore prayed that this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the Court of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bilaspur to conclude the proceedings in Criminal Case No.4047/2019 arising out of FIR No.559/2018 registered at Police Station Civil Lines, District Bilaspur under Section 409 of the IPC, within a time- bound period, as this Hon’ble Court deems fit and PRIYANKA VERMA Digitally signed by PRIYANKA VERMA Date: 2026.07.22 16:16:18 +0530 2 proper. (b) Pass such other order or direction as may be deemed just, proper and expedient in the facts and circumstances of the case.” 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the case is pending since the year 2019. He also submits that the prosecution has failed to conclude its evidence. Therefore, it is prayed that appropriate directions be issued to the concerned trial Court to conclude the proceedings of Criminal Case No.4047/2019. 3. Learned State counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner. 4. Considering the submissions of learned counsel for the parties and the material available on record and also considering the fact that the trial is pending since the year 2019, this Court is of the opinion that the ends of justice would be served by directing the concerned trial Court to conclude the pending proceedings expeditiously. Accordingly, the concerned trial Court is directed to make all endeavours to hear and finally decide Criminal Case No.4047/2019 as expeditiously as possible, on or before 6 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, strictly in accordance with law. 5.
