HARI HARANADHA SARMA WRIT PETITION No.15321 of 2026 ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed seeking an order, direction, or Writ, particularly one in the nature of Mandamus, to direct the respondent No.5 not to interfere with the civil dispute, if any, pending between the petitioner and respondent Nos.9 and 10, and not to call the petitioner to police station at their instance. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home takes notice on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 5. In view of the proposed disposal of the Writ Petition, issuance of notice to un-official respondents is dispensed with. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a practicing Advocate, respondent No.9 is his son, and respondent No.10 is the wife of respondent No.9. He submits that respondent Nos.9 and 10 approached the police on the pretext that the business accounts between the parties are not settled. It is also contended that another son of the petitioner has contributed certain amounts towards the business but not Respondent No.9. In any event, the dispute is purely civil in nature, interference by the police is unwarranted. 4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions, submits that respondent Nos.9 and 10 lodged a report alleging that they were threatened by the petitioner. Pursuant to the said report, the petitioner was called to the police station for enquiry. It is further submitted 4 that during the enquiry, both parties informed the police that they would amicably resolve the dispute before the elders. The police are not interfering with the civil disputes between the parties. 5. In view of the written instructions placed on record and the submissions made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home that the respondent-police are not interfering in the civil disputes between the parties, and recording the same, this Court finds that no further orders are required in the matter. 6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, respondent- police are directed not to interfere in the civil disputes between the parties and act strictly in accordance with law. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. ____________________________ A.
