Case No.482 of 2024 arising out of Serampore Police Station Case No.88 of 2024 dated February 17, 2024 under Sections 420/406/504/506 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 giving rise to charge sheet no.115 of 2024 dated March 29, 2024 under Sections 420/406/506 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. Learned Magistrate has fixed August 19, 2026 for charge hearing in this case. There are seven prosecution witnesses cited by the investigating agency in the charge sheet. Having regard to the aforesaid facts, this revisional application is disposed of with a direction upon the Learned Magistrate in the court below who concluded the trial as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of 18 months from the date of communication of this order without granting any unnecessary adjournment to the parties.
