Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record. 2. Based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner alleging that her husband was severely beaten up, an FIR was registered being Haringhata Police Station Case No. 256/26 dated 12th May, 2026. But after registering FIR, according to the petitioner, necessary steps are not being taken by the concerned police authorities by providing protection to the petitioner and her husband as well as arresting accused persons. 3. State respondents are represented by learned advocate. 4. Since it was alleged that husband of the petitioner was severely beaten up and considering the complaint lodged in this regard aforesaid criminal prosecution was initiated, concerned police authorities are directed to take the prosecution to its logical conclusion at an early date 2 by filing charge sheet. However, if petitioner has grievance with regard to steps taken by the concerned police authorities in connection with the aforesaid criminal prosecution, leave is granted to the petitioner to approach the jurisdictional magistrate under Section 175(3) of BNSS, 2023. 5. Concerned police authorities are also directed to provide protection to the petitioner and her husband, if occasion so arises. 6. Accordingly, writ petition stands disposed of. 7.
