Advocate For the State : APP --- 03/30.03.2026 Heard the learned counsel appearing for the respective parties. The petitioner is an accused in connection with Barwadda PS Case No. 297/2025. It has been alleged that when the villagers had protested the act of some unknown persons in erecting a boundary wall, the accused Firoj Ansari had threatened the villagers brandishing a pistol. The accused persons including the petitioner had also demanded extortion money. After some time, the accused persons had abducted the son and grandson of the brother of the informant but later on they were released. It has been submitted by the learned senior counsel for the petitioner that the incident occurred on account of a land dispute. Learned senior counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is named in the First Information Report and one of the co-accused namely Mahtab whose case is similar to that of the petitioner has been granted anticipatory bail by the learned trial Court below. It has been submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 29.12.2025. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner and has submitted that the petitioner had entered into the disputed site and had threatened the villagers. It has also been submitted that the petitioner has got criminal antecedent, to which, the learned senior counsel for the petitioner submits that the same relates to land dispute as well. Regard being had to the aforesaid facts, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned J.M. 1st Class, Dhanbad in connection with Barwadda PS Case No. 297/2025.
