JUDGMENT AND ORDER (ORAL)
1. Ms. M. Surong, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that in compliance of this Court’s order dated 22.04.2026, by which the accused person, Shri. Naveen Singh, who has been implicated in Mawkyrwat Women P.S. Case No. 3 of 2026 under Section 7/8 of the POCSO Act, was granted interim bail for a period of 15(fifteen) days on account of his marriage, has now surrendered himself before the prison authorities at Shillong.
2. In this connection, an affidavit bringing on record the compliance report on behalf of the said accused person, has been filed by Miss Shailja Singh, sister of the accused person.
3. Mr. E.R. Chyne, learned GA on behalf of the State respondent, has confirmed the said fact that the accused person has since surrendered and is now in custody in the said prison.
4. Accordingly, in view of the said affidavit and the submission made, this petition is hereby disposed of.
