CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SANJAY VASHISTH Present: Mr. Aditya Anand, Advocate for the petitioner. Mr. Vinay Malhora, DAG, Punjab. **** SANJAY VASHISTH, J.
1. Present third petition has been filed under Section 483 of the BNSS seeking regular bail on medical grounds in FIR No. 15 dated 02.02.2019, registered under Sections 379-B and 411 IPC at Police Station A Division, District Police Commissionerate, Amritsar.
2. From a perusal of paragraph No. 6 of the impugned order, it is evident that petitioner has remained absent on several occasions after being released on bail. It is also apparent that the trial qua one of the co- accused, namely, Davinder Singh, already stands concluded in the year 2024, wherein he was held guilty. Therefore, proceedings before the learned trial Court cannot be permitted to continue for an indefinite period on account of the repeated absence of the petitioner.
3. Learned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial finally within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, without granting any unnecessary adjournments, even on the request of learned defence counsel or learned Public Prosecutor.
