Complaining non-compliance of the order dated 11th August, 2025, passed in WPA 1590 of 2025 this contempt application has been filed. 2. Records would reveal that Rule has also been issued and pursuant to such Rule, the contemnor had appeared on 12th December, 2025. The Court, by order dated 12th December, 2025 while dispensing with the personal appearance of the contemnor on his undertaking to be present before the Court as and when directed, had made the matter returnable for further consideration on 30th January, 2026. By such order it was also made clear that this order shall not stand in the way of the contemnor to comply with the direction contained in the order dated 11th August, 2025. 3. Today, an affidavit of compliance has been filed which is taken on record. From the affidavit of compliance 2 W.P.C.R.C. 06 of 2025 it would transpire that a reasoned order has already been passed by the contemnor, being the Pradhan of Ruidanga Gram Panchayat, Mathabhanga II, Cooch Behar. From the aforesaid order it would transpire that the Pradhan had observed that no approved building plan corresponding to the alleged construction could be traced and since, no official records pertaining to the alleged construction is available in the office, the matter was forwarded to the Sub-Divisional Officer, Mathabhanga for necessary action. The copy of the aforesaid order dated 24th January, 2026 which had been received by the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer, Mathabhanga on 27th June, 2026, and bears the receipted stamp has been placed before this Court by Ms. Bose, learned advocate representing the contemnor. Let the same be taken on record. 4. In the light of the aforesaid disclosure and since it would transpire from the above that the order dated 11th August, 2025 has already been complied with though belatedly, I am of the view that no useful purpose will be served in keeping the contempt application pending, the same is accordingly disposed of. 5. The contempt proceeding thus, stands dropped and the Rule is discharged. (Raja Basu Chowdhury, J.)
