The petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs; "a) To issue Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondent No.2 to issue passport to the petitioner on her application bearing file No.BN2065351975825 submitted on 17.07.2025 at Annexure-A. b) Pass any further order(s)/ direction(s), which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the interest of justice and equity." 2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the application filed by the petitioner for issuance of passport for his minor son has not been considered and it is in that background the petitioner seeks for the aforesaid reliefs. 3. Whenever any application is submitted for issuance of a passport, it would be required for the Regional Passport Authority to consider the said application and pass - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:35143 WP No. 2834 of 2026 necessary orders in accordance with law. Needless to say, the order of rejection made requires to be accompanied by reasons. 4. In that view of the matter, this Court passes the following order; (i) Writ petition is allowed. (ii) A mandamus is issued directing respondent no.2-the Regional Passport Officer to consider the application of the petitioner dated 17.07.2025 at Annexure-A and pass necessary orders in accordance with law within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
