3 WP 463 2026 Jose IN THE HIGH COURT OF BOMBAY AT GOA WRIT PETITION NO.463 OF 2026 PRARTHANA DEEPAK NAIK ... PETITIONER Versus THE STATE OF GOA THR CHIEF SECRETARY AND ANR ... RESPONDENTS Ms Apeksha Kalokhe, Advocate for the Petitioner. Mr Prashil Arolkar, Additional Government Advocate for the Respondents. CORAM:- DR. NEELA GOKHALE, J. DATED :- 22nd July, 2026 P.C.: 1. At the outset, Mr Prashil Arolkar, learned Counsel appearing for the Respondents, has brought to my notice that there is an efficacious remedy available before the Secretary of the Education Department. In fact, he says that the other teacher, who was also proceeded against and subjected to disciplinary action, has also approached the Secretary, Education Department. Hence, it will be in the interest of justice if the proceedings initiated against both the teachers are heard together. 2. Ms Kalokhe, learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner, seeks permission to withdraw the present petition and approach the 22nd July, 2026 2026:BHC-GOA:1429 3 WP 463 2026 competent authority by initiating appropriate proceedings before the said authority. Permission to withdraw is granted with the aforesaid liberty. 3. It is made clear that I have not heard the matter on merits, and as such, all contentions of all parties are left open to be agitated before the concerned authority. 4. Petition is disposed as withdrawn. DR. NEELA GOKHALE, J. 22nd July, 2026 Signed by: JOSE FRANCISCO DSOUZA Designation: Personal Assistant Date: 22/07/2026 21:10:39
