ORAL ORDER
After arguing the matter for sometime, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in judicial custody in the present case since 09.01.2024. He submits that considering the petitioner's period of incarceration, the present petition may be dismissed as not pressed with a direction to the Trial Court to dispose of the case within a stipulated time frame reserving liberty to the petitioner to renew his application before the Trial Court in the event trial is not completed within the stipulated period.
2. The said submission is placed on record.
3. The petition is dismissed as not pressed with liberty as prayed for.

4. Considering the period of petitioner's incarceration, the Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial in the present case and dispose of the case on merits as expeditiously as possible but not later than a period of eight months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. In the event, the trial is not completed within the aforesaid period, the petitioner is at liberty to renew his bail application before the Trial Court.
