Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that earlier there was a direction of this Court on 20.01.2026 in CRM (NDPS) 69 of 2026 to complete examination of at least six witnesses including the seizure list witnesses within a period of six months. Such order, according to the petitioner, was communicated on 28.01.2026. However, till date not a single witness has been examined, although charges have been framed. Learned advocate appearing for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and submits that since 02.01.2026 to 24.06.2026 the court was lying vacant and very recently the Special Court has joined. As such, none of the witnesses could be examined. 2 In view of the prosecution unable to implement the order because of reasons beyond their control, a further time is granted for a period of three months from the date of communication of this order. In view of the quantum of seizure, which is 501 kgs. of Ganja, at this stage, the prayer for bail of the petitioners is rejected. Learned Trial Court would adhere to the direction passed above since reasons beyond control for a period of six months unnecessarily the petitioners were languishing in jail. The application for bail, being CRM (NDPS) 1441 of 2026, is, thus, disposed of. All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
