JUSTICE M.NAGAPRASANNA ORAL ORDER The petitioner is before the Court seeking the following prayer: "WHEREFORE, it is respectfully prayed that this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to modify the impugned order dated 26/02/2026 passed on IA.No.2 in Criminal Appeal No.25094/2026 passed by Hon'ble 72nd A.C.C. & S.J Mayo Hall Bengaluru (CCH-73) by extending the interim order Dated 26/02/2026 and granting 4 weeks time to furnish the surety before learned trial court and pass any such order as this Honourable Court deems fit in the interest of justice and equity." 2. The petitioner is the accused, who gets convicted of the offence. On suspension of sentence, it is directed that 20% to be deposited. 3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner takes this Court through the documents appended to the petition to demonstrate that on 10.06.2026 albeit by delay an amount of 20% of the total cheque amount was deposited - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:34724 CRL.P No. 8961 of 2026 before the Court, though it was in part compliance. The petitioner filed a memo on 11.06.2026 seeking four weeks time to deposit the amount. The same comes to be rejected. Therefore, the petitioner is before the Court. 4. In the peculiar facts, I deem it appropriate to grant the petitioner four more weeks time from today to make good the 20% amount in terms of the order passed by the Court. The suspension of sentence shall stand extended for the said period. 5. In the event, the petitioner would not comply, the impugned order would get revived automatically. 6.
