Heard Mr. Narendra Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner.
2. Mr. Narendra Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the Original Suit No.1193 of 2022, “Rajesh Thapa vs. Smt. Anchal Thapa”, filed under Section 13 and Section 26 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, is pending for the evidence of the respondent – opposite party. The respondent-opposite party has already sought several adjournments in the said original suit to adduce her evidence. Therefore, the 1
2026:UHC:2029 petitioner has filed the present writ petition under Article 227 of the Constitution of India to direct the learned Ist Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Dehradun to decide the said suit as expeditiously as possible.

In the facts and circumstances of the case, the learned Ist Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Dehradun is directed to expedite the proceedings of the said Original Suit No.1193 of 2022 and decide the same as expeditiously as possible, as per law, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either party.
4. The present Writ Petition No.684 of 2026 (M/S) is disposed of accordingly.
5. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merit of the case.
