By way of the present petition, the petitioner has sought the following reliefs: “(i) It is therefore most respectfully prayed that, the Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to call entire records relating to the case of the Petitioners from the court below. PRIYANKA VERMA Digitally signed by PRIYANKA VERMA Date: 2026.07.21 15:50:08 +0530 2 (ii) Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the learned trial Court of Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Bilaspur, District- Bilaspur, C.G., to conclude the proceedings of Criminal Case No. 5089/2019 (State of C.G. through Police Station- Sarkanda, District- Bilaspur, C.G. Vs. Satyanarayan Sahu), within a period of 3 months. (iii) Any other relief which this Hon’ble Court deems fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice.” 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, pursuant to the order dated 18.06.2025 passed in WP227 No.523/2025, the learned trial Court was directed to conclude the proceedings of pending Criminal Case No.5089/2019 expeditiously. However, despite the said direction, the case has remained pending since 2019, and the prosecution witnesses have not yet been examined. Therefore, it is prayed that appropriate directions be issued to the concerned trial Court to conclude the proceedings of Criminal Case No.5089/2019 within a period of three months. 3. Learned State counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner. 4. Considering the submissions of learned counsel for the parties and the material available on record, this Court is of the opinion that the ends of justice would be served by directing the concerned trial Court to conclude the pending proceedings expeditiously. Accordingly, the concerned trial Court is directed to make all endeavours to hear and finally decide Criminal Case No.5089/2019 as expeditiously as 3 possible, preferably within a period of nine months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, strictly in accordance with law. 5.
