Sl.29 10.07.2026 Court No.6 BP C.O. 2137 of 2026 Dr. Dharmendra Sharma -versus- Pooja Sharma Mr. Samrat Choudhury Mr. Sayan Ray Mr. Ronit Naskar ..for the petitioner This application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is at the instance of the husband praying for a direction upon the learned Additional District Judge, 16th Court at Alipore to dispose of the Matrimonial Suit No.9 of 2014 expeditiously. The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the matrimonial suit is pending from the year 2013 and is at the stage of evidence. He further submits that the wife/opposite party herein has filed an application under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act being Misc. Case No. 32 of 2014. He further submits that the husband/petitioner herein also filed an application under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act praying for alimony pendente lite being Misc. Case No. 9 of 2015. From the order-sheets appended to this civil revisional application this Court finds that 1st August, 2026 has been fixed in the matrimonial suit awaiting orders in the connected miscellaneous cases being Miscellaneous 2 Case No. 32 of 2014 and Miscellaneous Case. No. 9 of 2015. The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that Miscellaneous Case No. 32 of 2014 and Miscellaneous Case No. 9 of 2015 are otherwise ready for hearing. In the event the aforesaid miscellaneous cases being Misc. Case No. 32 of 2014 and Misc. Case No. 9 of 2015 are still pending, the learned Additional District Judge, 16th Court at Alipore shall make an endeavour to dispose of the said miscellaneous cases as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties. After disposal of the aforesaid miscellaneous cases the learned trial judge shall make an endeavour to dispose of the Matrimonial Suit No.9 of 2014 expeditiously without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties. C.O. 2137 of 2026 stands disposed of with the above observations. There shall be, however, no order as to costs. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities. (Hiranmay Bhattacharyya, J.)
