Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner is in custody since 23.05.2025 and there has been no progress in the case, as such petitioner may be released on bail. On the other hand learned advocate appearing for the State submits that evidence of all the witnesses are over, the examination under Section 313 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the accused is also over and next date has been fixed on 11th of August, 2026 for argument of the case. Having considered the advance stage of the case, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the CRM (M) 914 of 2026 is dismissed. Mr. Rajendra Banerjee, learned Additional Public Prosecutor along with Mr. Ramashis Mukherjee are appearing for the State. 2 Their appointments may be regularized by the concerned authorities. Memo of evidence and report submitted by the State be kept with the record. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court.
