This contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 215 of the Constitution of India r/w. Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 alleging non-compliance of the order dated 30.09.2024 passed by this Court in CONT (C) No. 720/2020 arising out of the order dated 04.03.2020 passed in WP (S) No. 1494/2020. 2. Learned counsel for the Respondent submit that pursuant to the order passed in writ petition, arrears of pay of petitioner amounting to Rs. 17,585/- has been paid to him. The submission of counsel for the respondent is not opposed by the counsel for petitioner, however, he submits that interest is not paid to petitioner for the arrears. 4. In view of the submissions made by counsel for the parties, in the opinion of this Court, the order passed in the writ petition i.e. WP(S) No. 1494/2020 has been complied with. The contempt proceedings initiated against the respondents is dropped. 5. Notices issued to the respondents stands discharged. Contempt petition is closed.
