Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits, petitioner is in custody for 2 years and 2 months and other accused persons namely, Sudip Chowdhury @ Swadip @ Subhodip and Anil Mahato have been granted bail by the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta. Learned advocate for the State has produced the case diary, drawn the attention of the Court to the statement of two injured persons. 2 Having considered the role of the present petitioner who fired at the victim/injured, I am of the opinion that petitioner is not placed on similar footing along with other accused persons who have been granted bail. As such, prayer for bail of the petitioner in CRM (M) 2873 of 2025 is dismissed. Mr. Rajendra Banerjee, Ld. APP and Mr. Suman Chakraborty, learned advocate appears on behalf of the State.
