Accused Nos.2 and 3 in Crime No.102/2026 registered by Kadur Police Station, Chikkamagaluru, for the offences punishable under Sections 352, 329(3), 118(1), 74, 115(2), 351(2) and 3(5) of BNS, 2023, are before this Court in this petition filed under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023, seeking anticipatory bail. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. 3. FIR in Crime No.102/2026 was registered by Kadur Police Station, Chikkamagaluru, for the offences punishable under Sections 352, 329(3), 109(1), 118(1), 74, 115(2), 351(2) and 3(5) of BNS, 2023, against Meenakshi and three others based on the first information dated 30.03.2026 submitted by Srinivasa, who is one of the injured victim in the present case. Apprehending arrest, petitioners had filed Crl.Misc.No.215/2026 - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:35215 CRL.P No. 7999 of 2026 before the jurisdictional Sessions Court, which was dismissed on 22.04.2026. Therefore, they are before this Court. 4. Perusal of the material on record would go to show that petitioners' name is not found in the FIR. It appears that there is some dispute between the first informant and accused No.1 with regard to certain land transaction and on alleged date of incident, the parties had fought against each other in this background. In the said incident, first informant and his family members have suffered only minor injuries. Accused Nos.2 and 3 are said to be the persons, who had accompanied accused No.1, who was arrested in the present case and released on regular bail. Investigation of the case is now completed and charge sheet has been filed. Charge sheet averments would go to show that the weapon used to assault first informant and his family members has already been recovered in the present case. Petitioners, who are youngsters, aged 26 years and 19 years have no other criminal antecedents. Under the circumstances, the following order:- 5. The petition is allowed. The respondent - Police or any other police in the State of Karnataka are directed to release - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:35215 CRL.P No. 7999 of 2026 the petitioners in the event of their arrest in Crime No.102/2026 registered by Kadur Police Station, Chikkamagaluru, for the offences punishable under Sections 352, 329(3), 118(1), 74, 115(2), 351(2) and 3(5) of BNS, 2023, subject to the following conditions: 1. The Petitioners shall appear before the concerned Court and shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- each with two sureties for the likesum to the satisfaction of the said Court. 2. Petitioners shall regularly appear before the Trial Court without fail unless exempted by the Trial Court for valid reasons. 3. Petitioners shall not tamper with the prosecution witnesses and they shall co-operate with the police for investigation and appear before them whenever called upon. 4.
