JUSTICE ASHOK S.KINAGI ORAL ORDER The petitioner filed this writ petition seeking for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider the set of representations dated 12.11.2018 and 16.03.2020 vide Annexures - H and M respectively, wherein the petitioner has sought for compassionate appointment. The - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:34160 WP No. 8493 of 2021 respondents have not passed any order on the representations submitted by the petitioner. Hence, this writ petition. 2. Notice was issued to the respondents. Despite service of notice, the respondents remained unrepresented. 3. Heard Miss. Rukmini, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the father of the petitioner was working in respondent- Corporation and he passed away leaving behind his legal representatives. The petitioner is the son of Narasimhappa. After the death of the father he submitted a representations for compassionate appointment vide representations dated 12.11.2018 and 16.03.2020 vide Annexures - H and M respectively. She submits that the - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:34160 WP No. 8493 of 2021 respondents have not considered the representations. Hence, she prays to allow the writ petition. 5. Perused the records and considered the submissions of the learned counsel for the parties. 6. The petitioner has submitted a representations vide Annexures - H and M seeking on a compassionate appointment on the ground that the father of the petitioner was working in the respondent-Corporation and he passed away leaving behind the petitioner. The petitioner and his family members are in a financial distress. The respondents have not considered the representations. It is the duty of the respondent that once if somebody makes a representation, they are bound to consider it and pass an appropriate order. Admittedly, in the instant case, the respondents have not consider the representations vide Annexures H and M. - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:34160 WP No. 8493 of 2021 7. In view of the above discussion, I proceed to pas the following: ORDER i. The Writ Petition is allowed. ii. The respondents are directed to consider Annexures H and M, if not considered and pass an appropriate order in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of the receipt of the copy of this order. iii.
