By the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent authorities to consider and decide her application for grant of compassionate appointment on account of the death of her sister. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's sister, who was working as a Siksha Karmi (Panchayat) posted at Government Middle School, Pacheda, Janpad Panchayat Pusaur, District Raigarh (C.G.), died in harness on 19.04.2015. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted an application dated 13.05.2015 (Annexure P/2) before respondent No.5/Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Janpad Panchayat Pusaur, District Raigarh, seeking compassionate appointment, which was duly forwarded by him to respondent No.4/Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Zila Panchayat, Raigarh for consideration. He further submits that despite the lapse of considerable time, the said application has neither been considered nor decided by the competent authority, and no order has been passed thereon till date. 3. Learned State counsel submits that though she has no instructions regarding the present status of the petitioner's application, one of the petitioner's family members is already in 3 Government service and, therefore, the petitioner is not entitled to compassionate appointment. 4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the documents appended with the writ petition. 5. Considering the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner and taking into account the submission made by learned State counsel, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4/Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Zila Panchayat, Raigarh to consider and decide the petitioner's pending application dated 13.05.2015 (Annexure P/2) for compassionate appointment and pass an appropriate order, in accordance with law, preferably within a period of 35 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. 7. Learned State counsel is directed to communicate this order to respondent No.4 for necessary information and compliance.
