Ms. Mousomee Shome …for the petitioner This application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is at the instance of the plaintiff praying for a direction upon the Learned Civil Judge (Jr. Division), 1st Court at Barasat to dispose of Title Suit No. 933 of 2023 expeditiously. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the suit for eviction is pending from the year 2023. From the order-sheets appended to this application this Court finds that a date of hearing of the application under Sections 7(1), 7(2) and 7(3) of the West Bengal Premises Tenancy Act, 1997 was fixed on February 3, 2026. In view of the order sought and proposed to be passed, there is no necessity to direct issuance of any notice upon the opposite parties. However, the learned advocate-on-record of the petitioner shall be obliged to forward a copy of this application along with this order, upon the opposite parties or upon the 2 learned advocate representing them before the learned trial judge. In the light of the submission made by the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner, CO 1701 of 2026 stands disposed of by requesting the Learned Civil Judge (Jr. Division), 1st Court at Barasat to make an endeavour to dispose of the pending interlocutory applications as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. After disposal of the interlocutory applications, the learned trial judge shall make an endeavour to dispose of the suit expeditiously. (Hiranmay Bhattacharyya, J.)
