This Criminal Writ Petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India has been filed for praying for the issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus by way of issuing directions to the respondents No.1 to 3 to release and produce the detenue namely Pooja Rani, daughter of Makhan Ram, resident of House No.210, Ward No.9- A, Dashmesh Nagar, Tehsil Dhuri, District Sangrur, Punjab before this Hon’ble Court from the illegal detention and custody from the hands of respondent No.4, who has detained the detenue against her rights and wishes or to appoint a Warrant Officer for recovery of the detenue at the place pointed by the petitioner or for issuance of any other writ, or- der or direction which this Court may deem fit and proper. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner-Rahul submitted that since the petitioner is in custody and his sister-Gurmeet Kaur w/o Roshan Singh is present in the Court, the detenue-Pooja Rani who is major is willing to go with Gurmeet Kaur-sister of petitioner. She is allowed to do so. Gurmeet Kaur would be responsible for the well- being of the detenue-Pooja Rani. 4. In view of this, the instant petition is disposed of. 5.
