This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023, whereby the petitioner Faruk Ali has prayed for releasing him on bail after he was arrested in connection with Jalukbari P.S. Case No. 50/2026 registered under Sections 21(b)/29 of the NDPS Act Page No.# 2/2 (corresponding to G.R. Case No.612/2026. 3. Intermediate quantity of suspected heroin was recovered from the possession of another person. The petitioner Faruk Ali was arrested in connection with Jalukbari P.S. Case No. 50/2026. He has already spent 38 days in judicial custody. 4. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel of both sides, this Court is of the opinion that the petitioner no longer deserves to be detained in custody. Therefore, his bail application is allowed. 5. It is hereby directed that the petitioner, Faruk Ali, who was arrested in connection with Jalukbari P.S. Case No. 50/2026, shall be released on bail of ₹25,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, Kamrup (Metro) at Guwahati.
