Barman, petitioner in person, who had approached this Court with the complaint of non payment of bills for the functions which he had discharged as Special Public Prosecutor in the Court of the Munsiff No. 3, Kamrup (M). Notice was issued on 13.02.2026. Shri S. C. Keyal, learned Standing Counsel, Income Tax Department has however informed that in the mean time, the bills have been cleared. Also heard Ms. A. Gayan, learned CGC. Shri Barman, the petition in person has not disputed the aforesaid fact and has rather endorsed the same. In view of the above situation, this Court is of the opinion that there is no surviving cause of action which requires any adjudication. Writ petition accordingly stands closed.
