Harish Kumar … for the petitioner Ms. Babita Das … for the respondents July 10, 2026 [AKB] Item No.22 This writ petition seeks direction upon the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner’s representation dated June 12, 2026 seeking mutation of the petitioner’s name in the relevant record of rights. Having heard Mr. Sheheer, learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner and Ms. Das, learned Advocate appearing for the respondents, this writ petition is disposed of by requesting the respondent no. 2 i.e. the Tehsildar, Campbell Bay Tehsil, Nicobar District to dispose of the petitioner’s representation dated June 12, 2026 (at pages 45 to 47 of the writ petition) in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of twelve weeks from date. Needless to mention that this Court has not gone into the merits of the representation and the same would be decided by the Tehsildar based on its merits strictly in accordance with law. 2 Since no affidavits have been called for, the allegations made against the respondent shall be deemed not to have been admitted. WPA/345/2026 stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. (Om Narayan Rai, J.)
