[AKB] Item No.5 The petitioner is aggrieved by the rejection of the petitioner’s application for grant of electricity supply at his residential premises. Mr. Mishra, learned Advocate appearing for the respondent electricity authorities submits that the petitioner’s application has been rejected due to discrepant affidavit submitted along with the application. It is submitted that the format of the affidavit is already there in the JERC Regulations, 2018 and that the petitioner ought to have applied for electricity by submitting the affidavit in such format. Having heard the learned Advocates appearing for the respective parties and having considered the materials on record, this writ petition is disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to make a fresh application for grant of electricity supply along with appropriate affidavit in accordance with the format prescribed by the relevant JERC Regulations, 2018. If such application is made, the respondent electricity authorities

shall consider and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of submission of such application. WPA/334/2026 stands disposed of. No costs.
