Neutral Citation No. ( 2026:JHHC:9223 ) IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 2656 of 2026 Kailash Karmakar ... Petitioner Versus The State of Jharkhand … Opposite Party --- CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY For the Petitioner : Mr. Arvind Kumar Choudhary, Advocate For the State : A.P.P. --- 02/01.04.2026 Heard the learned counsel appearing for the respective parties. The petitioner is an accused in connection with Chandil PS Case No. 04/2025. The husband of the informant was shot at and died during treatment. The petitioner appears to have been implicated on the confession of co-accused Rakesh Gorai. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that save and except the confessional statement of the co-accused, there is no other material which would indicate about the culpability of the petitioner in committing the murder of husband of the informant. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner is in custody since 18.01.2025. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. Regard being had to the manner of implication, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge at Chandil in connection with Chandil PS Case No. 04/2025 (S.T. Case No. 128/2025). (RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY, J.) 01.04.2026 S.B. Uploaded on 02.04.2026
