IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI Cr. Appeal (DB) No. 1150 of 2026
Ushman Ansari @ Aman @ Arman @ Md. Usman Ansari, aged about 42 years, S/o Md. Islam Ansari, R/o village- Kishanpur, P.O.- Madhupur, P.S.- Margomunda, District- Deoghar ---- --- Appellant Versus
The State of Jharkhand ---
--- Respondent
--- CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY
HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE RAM SHARMA
--- For the Appellant
: Mr. Soumitra Baroi, Advocate For the Resp.-State
: Ms. Kumari Rashmi, A.P.P.
02/24.09.2026
Heard Mr. Soumitra Baroi, learned counsel for the appellant and Ms. Kumari Rashmi, learned A.P.P.
This appeal is directed against the order dated 10.07.2026 passed the learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Bermo at Tenughat in connection with B.P. No.165 of 2026 arising out of Bermo P.S. Case No.51 of 2026, whereby and whereunder the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected.
It has been alleged that a raid was conducted in the premises belonging to one Rajkumar Singh @ Bunty and huge quantity of tools and materials used for manufacturing illegal firearms were recovered.
Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the appellant that the premises in question belongs to Rajkumar Singh @ Bunty. It has been submitted that the appellant was not apprehended from inside the premises and in fact, he was apprehended while fleeing away which would not be suggestive of the fact that the appellant was involved in the illegal manufacturing of firearms. The appellant is in custody since
13.05.2026.
Learned A.P.P has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant.
It seems that the appellant was apprehended while fleeing away from the place of occurrence and the appellant appears to be an interstate criminal as he has several criminal cases in the State of Bihar as well as in the State of Jharkhand.
-2-
Regard being had to the aforesaid fact, we are not inclined to interfere in the impugned order dated 10.07.2026 passed the learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Bermo at Tenughat in connection with B.P. No.165 of 2026 arising out of Bermo P.S. Case No.51 of 2026 and consequently, this appeal is dismissed.
