In this application, the petitioner has prayed for expeditious disposal of the petitioner’s prayer for interim monetary relief made under Section 23 of the Domestic Violence Act. Being aggrieved by the inordinate delay in disposal of the said application, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he filed the said interim application in the year 2023 but it is still pending for disposal. Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner, it appears that the prayer made by the petitioner is justified in view of the fact that the said prayer for interim monetary relief is pending for disposal for about three years. In view of above, the instant application being CRR 5447 of 2025 is hereby disposed of with a direction upon the court below to dispose of the petitioner’s prayer for interim monetary relief made under Section 23 of the 2 Domestic Violence Act on the next date or preferably within a period of thirty days thereafter.
