09.07.2026 Serial nos. 30 [Srimanta] Ct. No. - 29 CRR 655 of 2026 SURAJIT BISWAS & ORS. -VS- STATE OF WEST BENGAL & ANR. Mr. Surajit Biswas … … Petitioner-in-person. Mr. Ashok Kumar Chowdhury, Advocate ……For the Opposite Party No. 2. 1. In this application, the petitioner has prayed for expeditious disposal of the application filed under Section 245(2) and 245(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure on 29.11.2025. It is further submitted that the next date is fixed on 4th November, 2026. 2. Having heard learned Counsel for the petitioner and the opposite party, it appears that the prayer made by the petitioner is innocuous and if the instant application is allowed in terms of the prayer made therein, the opposite party shall have no cause to prejudice. Having considered the fact that the application is pending for disposal for a considerable period of time, I find that the prayer made by the petitioner is justified and required to be allowed to secure the ends of justice. 3. In view of above, CRR/655/2026 is hereby disposed of with a direction upon the Court below to dispose of petitioner’s application filed under Section 245 of the Code of Criminal 2 Procedure on the next date, i.e., 04.11.2026 or preferably within a period of 30 days thereafter.
